Headteacher Welcome
I feel privileged to have recently joined the Langley Mill Church of England Infant School and Nursery. The school is a superb place to be, where all children are at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is to ensure children leave our school as happy, independent individuals with a love for learning. We are a safe place for our pupils to thrive and unlock their potential. We have a wonderful staff team who are nurturing and want the best for every pupil in our school. We have beautiful grounds which our children love to explore and where greater opportunities to learn and have fun await them.
Our 4 core values; Aspire, Learn, Respect and Serve are used to help the children develop as learners and support them as individuals in the future. Our values link to our school Christian Vision ‘Always our best for God, each other and ourselves’. This is underpinned by the biblical text ‘Whatever the activity in which you engage, do it with all your ability …’ Ecclesiastes 9:10.
At Langley Mill C of E Infant School and Nursery we value the partnership with parents and carers and work hard to ensure our school community includes everyone. We are an inclusive school, where everyone is welcome. We have a fantastic Family Support Worker who offers support to our families as well as our children.
I feel so proud of the fantastic learners we have at our school. Visitors often comment on how happy they seem, their manners and how calm the school feels and what a great place it is to learn.

Just a reminder to pop in and see us for our Open Day today.We are really excited to invite families to come to visit us on our Open Day. We have 3 slots in which we will welcome visitors, please come at any point between these times to see what we have to offer.
We are really proud of our school and the calm learning environments we have created here. We have a library, nurture room, sensory room, woodland area, fantastic school grounds, including a large field with a trim trail.
Our EYFS Unit has acces to a large outdoor area, which includes it's own trim trail, as well as their fantatsic inside space. Year 1 have access to an outdoor learning space as well as their classroom space. We also have a large hall and intervention space.
We are so proud of all the wonderful learning opportunities we give our children and the support we offer for families from our Family Support Worker. We now have a full time SENDCo in school, who is available to support children and their families. Please take a look at our website to find out more about us.

We have a Christmas Fair on Thursday 28th November and wondered if anyone would like to do a stall. We are charging £5 per table and then you take all the money you make. Please get in touch with the office on 01773713429 if you would be interested and we will give you more details. Thank you
